Welcome to Digital Asylum Sound Recording Studio

We do it all, and we do it all really, really well.

From pre-production thru post-production, from duplication to distribution.

Available services include: Pre-production planning, budgeting and scheduling. Material choices, song arrangements and production. Musician/singer rehearsals, chord charts, lead sheets and, of course, recording.

In studio services include multitrack recording, mixing and mastering to our high resolution 96kHz/24 bit Pro Tools HD system.

Our Digidesign C/24 control surface offers full automation with instant recall so your mix will sound the same today or months from now.

With our top of the line recording gear and microphones, not to mention the acoustically accurate rooms and the top notch engineering, you can rest assured you will have the most pristine recording possible. Add to this clean and comfortable surroundings and it makes for a very enjoyable experience.

Production

Our in-house production department (me & Glen) will help you obtain the very best performance from you and your band. We will discuss budget and figure out the best way to go about recording to get the most bang for your buck. Proper production is key to professional results.

Voice Overs

Recording for radio or TV. Do your own or we have professional voice over talent on call. Male or Female. Plain English or accents. We also offer on hold telephone messages, books on CD and instructional CD's for businesses and therapists.

Original Music

Let us design a music bed for your next radio or TV commercial. Don't opt for that canned music, make your business stand out from the crowd and get you noticed. Need a theme song for a TV program or a music bed for an independent film. We can come up with something at a moments notice.

Singer/Songwriters

Use our comfortably appointed studio and Yamaha's XS-8 fully weighted 88 key keyboard to get any sound your heart desires. From drums to strings to brass to woodwinds to beat creation, the XS-8 along with our loop/sampler software, sounds are only limited by your imagination. When you are ready to record, if needed, we have musicians on call to compliment those sounds still in your head.

Recording

From simple spoken word with background track to acoustic guitar/vocals to full blown bands, we are here to make your recording the best it can possibly be. Our engineer has many years of experience recording with some of the biggest names in the industry and has the chops to make you sound like you recorded at one of the best studios in the world. (Well, then you will have) Each player has his/her own headphone mix to tweak as you want and a click track is always available should the need arise. Singer had a rough night? We use Antares Auto Tune Pitch Correction software to put him right back in key. Guitarists, do you have an amp/head combo you always wanted to play thru? Let our Amp-Farm Amplifier Modeling software get you the tone you've always wanted.

Mixing

With Waves Platinum bundle plug-ins and our compliment of outboard tube gear we have the greatest collection of reverbs, compressors and equalizers in the area. World class effects to get you world class results. We will make your tracks shine and sound like anything that comes out of NY, LA or Nashville, right here in the Poconos. We not only mix our own tracks but will mix projects recorded in other studios as well. Recorded the band at your project studio? Bring us a data CD in .WAV or AIFF format and we can mix it here. Of course results will vary depending on quality of your equipment and recording methods used.

Mastering

Getting the most out of your mix. Mastering is the last step before duplication and it needs to be right. We put the songs in the proper order with intros/outros. Equalization, multi-band compression to limit peaking frequencies and mastering compression for proper loudness across all songs. Finally we use proprietary software to get every last bit out of that 16 bit/44.1k signal needed for a CD.

Duplication

We offer full CD and DVD duplication services, from 1 to 1,000. Let our design team (me) design a custom logo for your project.

Special Services

Clean up and enhancement of audio for PI's, attorneys, court stenographers etc.

Our affiliation with Players Row Music Supply gives you access to just about any gear you could want. From new and vintage amplifiers, FX pedals, and a huge selection of guitars and basses. If you are looking for a particular piece of gear please let us know and we will get it for you.
